Ad2OC Thirsty Thursday

Lately ADZEDIA has been active in networking and getting more involved with the advertising community in Orange County. Instead of just attending these events, we decided to host one. Last Thursday, ADZEDIA hosted the monthly Ad 2 Orange County (Ad2OC) “Thirsty Thursday” mixer at our Irvine office.

Ad2OC is an affiliate of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and the Orange County Advertising Federation (OCAF), and offers an array of opportunities to connect, collaborate, and recognize young advertising professionals in Orange County. The organization also offers education, members-only forums, job postings, VIP webinars, creative competitions, and more. Once a month, Ad2OC coordinates a “Thirsty Thursday” mixer to facilitate networking between these young advertising professionals; this event is hosted at a different selected agency each month. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to be involved with this extraordinary organization.

There were about 50 people in attendance at the event, including employees of Sparkhouse, Devise Interactive, XTOPOLY, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Dick Clark Productions, Lifescript, and more. Guests of the event at ADZEDIA mingled over beer, wine, and Mediterranean cuisine catered by Pita Pita Cafe, one of ADZEDIA’s social media clients. ADZEDIA premiered a new video that focuses on their services, and Forge54 (an Orange County organization that converges the most talented creatives to donate their time and talents for a revamp of a chosen nonprofit organization’s marketing and branding efforts during a 54-hour event) showcased their plans for the upcoming year, and encouraged attendees to apply. The event was an overall success.
