Google Digital Lunch

On October 14th, 2015, ADZEDIA hosted a Digital Lunch with Google. This month’s topic was “Improving Your Online Presence through Video.”

In attendance at the Digital Lunch were Kristen and Jeff White from TH2tech, Ivan Gonzalez from IG Communications, Barbara Nei from Angel B Video Productions, Digital Communication Strategist Gina Johnston, Noel Baylis from LJP Construction Services, and Eysabel Sanchez from AWDsome Lifestyles.

The ADZEDIA team and guests gathered over lunch and iced tea from Starbucks and discussed how video affects and improves a company’s online presence. The term “video” in advertising relates to corporate videos, social media videos, and also video advertising implemented through Google/YouTube. Learning that the brain processes visual data up to 60,000 times faster than text gives us a deeper understanding of how prominent video is in today’s digital world.

Although video is not new, the popularity is consistently rising rather quickly. Statistics from Google prove that the spending on desktop online video alone is projected to grow 21% every year until 2019. By 2018, video will account for 80% of all web traffic. It is clear that video is here to stay and only saturate the Internet more as time goes on. In addition, mobile apps such as Instagram, Vine, Snapchat, and Periscope prove that the popularity of video will continue to rise.

We learned many interesting facts during Wednesday’s Digital Lunch, such as the statistic that 72% of B2B buyers watch videos throughout their entire path to purchase, and it typically takes 10.4 pieces of information before a customer makes a purchase. On that same note, nearly half of online consumers view 30 minutes or more of video content while researching.

With that being said, is your company ready to get into video production? Our production team at ADZEDIA can put you ahead of the curve and shoot great videos for your company! Give us a call to learn how we can help promote your business through video at 800-401-3590.

ADZEDIA’s next event will be on the topic of Web Analysis and Optimization on November 11, 2015.
